À l’initiative de l’association LAB (Libreartbitre), dans le cadre de la manifestation “PoSt-”,
7 artistes / designers (Florence Doléac, Dominique Mathieu, Karim ould, David Énon,
Stéphane Barbier Bouvet, Jocelyn Cottencin et Valérian Goalec) ont été invités à produire une pièce à partir d’un cahier des charges précis :
– Investir une pièce en bois de cèdre mesurant 2000 x 145 x 90 mm
– Aucun ajout de matière possible
– Pas d’obligation d’usage
– Pièce unique ou pièces limitées dans le bout

Jean-noël robic, ébéniste et sculpteur sur bois du Morbihan a été chargé des réalisations.

INTENTION
À partir de la matière proposée réaliser un objet à l’échelle du corps avec un minimum d’opérations, sans perte de matière.

Le résultat a donné́ lieu à une exposition à la galerie Mica du 1er avril au 2 juillet 2011.

7 artists/designers (Florence Doléac, Dominique Mathieu, Karim ould, David Énon,
Stéphane Barbier Bouvet, Jocelyn Cottencin and Valérian Goalec) were invited to produce a piece based on precise specifications:
– Invest in a cedar wood piece measuring 2000 x 145 x 90 mm
– No addition of material possible
– No obligation of use
– Unique piece or limited series in the same piece of wood

Jean-noël robic, a Morbihan cabinetmaker and woodcarver, was commissioned to create the pieces.

INTENTION
From the proposed material, to create a body-sized object with a minimum of operations and no loss of material.

The result was shown at Galerie Mica from April 1 to July 2, 2011.
